Alternatives to ShopExperts

2 tools compete with ShopExperts: the same category, or named as a rival. Each difference below comes from details confirmed on the vendors' own sites, and each tool keeps its caveat.

Hand-matched Shopify experts and agencies, free to the person hiring.

Free to get matched; experts pay to be listed

Watch for. The side that pays is the expert, not you. A verified listing is free. Verified Pro, at $799 a year or $249 a quarter, buys Official Partner status, lead capture and listing analytics. So a hand-picked match is a ranking somebody can pay for, not a neutral one. The vetting figures, 205 experts and the top 3% of applicants, are self-reported and not checkable from outside.

  1. Marketing agency for Shopify apps rather than Shopify stores.

Content retainers £1,957 and £3,250 a month, SEO and App Store ads support from £1,500. Strategy on enquiry

    Listed here because: same category.

Details for one of these are not confirmed yet, so no difference from ShopExperts is stated.

Watch for. The strategy packages and the course have no published price. So the work most app teams would start with begins on a sales call. The team page names three people by first name only, and no legal entity appears anywhere on the site. So ask how much capacity sits behind a content retainer. Its own claims do not fit together. The homepage says over 8 years and About says over 9. The course is billed as the world's first and only program of its kind. A 23% traffic and 15% install lift is given with no source.

  2. Vetted freelance Shopify talent, introduced against a brief rather than browsed.

Free plan, paid tiers not published

    Listed here because: same category.

Details for one of these are not confirmed yet, so no difference from ShopExperts is stated.

Watch for. What Storetasker takes is not published anywhere on the site. Pricing is described as coming directly from the experts you hire. That is the freelancer's number, and it says nothing about the platform's margin on top of it. The vetting figures, 15,000 reviewed and under 5% admitted, are self-reported and not checkable. Fine on a fixed-scope project, where the quote does not change. Worth asking about before a long retainer.
