Winding down

Announced June 2026. Most services stopped 14 August 2026; Mantle Billing runs until 30 September 2026. Mantle wrapped Shopify's Billing API, so the subscriptions themselves live on Shopify. Backed by Shopify, with a team involved in starting the App Store. It did not lose to a competitor. The platform absorbed it when Shopify shipped native App Pricing in May.

Watch for. Listed for orientation only. If you still bill through it, this is an engineering deadline. Flex Billing has no native equivalent.
