The caveats
ECDB. A general ecommerce data product, not a Shopify one. Nothing published shows it can tell which apps a store runs, which is the question Store Leads and StoreCensus answer. The revenue figures are modeled estimates. Its 56,000 retailers are a small slice of the stores on Shopify alone, so it suits large merchants, not the long tail. Plans start at €675 a month, billed annually with VAT on top, which is far above anything else in this category.
Shoplist. Coverage is not published. The methodology page explains how storefront detection and its dates work. It does not say what share of Shopify stores Sonar has read, or how often a storefront is checked again. The pricing page claims 1M+ stores and apps on every plan, without splitting the two. Like every detector, it only sees apps with a storefront presence.
